Yes: It's possible, what does your diet look like, is it higher in sugary, starches and or fatty food. The part of your brain that is used to getting an effect from the alcohol may be trying to fill that void with high calorie food. Cravings for one substance including food can increase when trying to give up another. Need to fill that void with "healthy things, exercise, perhaps counseling, see doctor.
