It s too late!: Yo should be preparing months in advance. This includes a healthy diet with possible medical clearance if you have coexisting medical disease. Stop smoking at least one month prior. Some surgeons advise cessation of oral contraceptives 1-2 months prior to surgery for prolonged operations. Aspirin and nsaids are often ceased two week prior. Npo evening before. Some prescribe antibiotics prior.
