Care: Care for acute insect bites that cause a localized rash can include: 1) oral or topical antihistamine agents such as benadryl, (diphenhydramine) 2) topical steroid creams such as hydrocortisone, 3) soothing lotions such as aloe vera containing products, and 4) cool soaks with a wash rag. If symptoms worsen, prompt evaluation with a doctor is recommended.
