Removal of foreskin: Mostly done in infancy.. May need 2B done in adults if foreskin is tight (phimosis) and doesn't retract easily ;/or doesn't respond to steroid cream. Circumcision after infancy usually performed under general anesthesia. Foreskin is removed between 2 circumferential incisions. Bleeding vessels are cauterized ; 2 skin edges sutured together with absorbable suture material. Coban dressing may b used.
