How common is adult circumcision?

Adult Circumcision: I am assuming you are speaking about male circumcision. This is not common but there are some rare conditions such as scarred foreskin and other reasons for this procedure to be offered to adult men. But, there is a large movement growing in places where HIV infections are high because those men who are circumcised do not contract HIV as easily as those men who are not circumcised.

Very common: Most urologists taking care of adults perform lots of circumcisions. Adult urologists at our hospital perform 1 - 200 such procedures every year.
