Pneumothorax, ...: Or collapsed lung, occurs rarely after bronchoscopy. However, if a biopsy was also done, pneumothorax is more likely. If there is difficulty breathing afterwards, or if the degree of lung collapse is significant, then re-expansion of the lung by chest tube placement is indicated. If the pneumothorax is small, and breathing is ok, it might just be watched, expecting spontaneous resolution.
