A member asked:

Beta blockers for anxiety/migraines, does this work?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No/Yes: Beta blockers do not help symptoms of anxiety. Sometimes they will blunt the effect stress may have on your heart by blocking the same receptors that 'adrenaline-like' hormones work on. There has been many years of use to prevent migraines, particularly with propanolol which is an older generation of beta blockers. They have been known to reduce migraines.
