Have ddd why can i be doing okay minor pain and then for no apparent reason pain is so severe i can't sit or barely move? what exactly causes this?

Maybe Muscle spasm: Consider a massage, warmth over joints, something cold over muscles. If you can take an anti-inflammatory, you should feel better. Depending on the weather where you are, the colder and damper, the worse your joints would feel.
