Is there anything that can be done to help the insomnia caused by tramadol (severe ddd) ?

Switch off tramadol: Taking a drug to,offset the side effect of another drug is not a good,idea. Better to switch to a different pain drug such as buprenorphine , now available as a skin or a buccal patch, from your physician. If the insomnia remains, then treat that separately.
