I recently went to the doctor and was informed that i had high blood calcium. what does this mean? can this be the cause of my dizziness for so long?

It depends...: A high calcium level can be seen in persons who take calcium supplements. In addition, it could be due to a parathyroid adenoma. Your doctor can arrange a blood test for intact PTH (parathyroid hormone). A high level might be evidence of an adenoma. A low level might be consistent with a high calcium resulting from supplements. Hyperparathyroidism commonly causes fatigue, sometimes dizziness.

Many causes, no but: The most common cause of high serum calcium is hyperparathyroidism, a benign growth of the parathyroid glands. Mild elevations cause no symptoms but higher levels can cause fatigue ; depression. Dizziness is not a known symptom.
