TLC: Take it easy on the tissue now that it is irritated. Use only mild soap for washing and you may want to apply light coating of a snd d ointment a couple of times a day. Scarring not likely. Keep clean and protected and keep from getting dry. Do not use vaseline. Good luck.

Be patient: Wash it gently with mild soap twice a day and apply olive oil. Avoid any skin irritants and be patient. If concerned see your PCP for evaluation and medical treatment.
