Tongue Sensations: Sometimes we do burn our tongue when we eat particularly hot foods, like pizza or baked potatoes, too quickly. That sensation can also be caused by eating very spicy foods, such as peppers . You should explore these, as well as burning mouth syndrome with your physician of a qualified oral and maxillofacial surgeon. You may also want to check for "adverse reactions' related to the meds you take.
