White coloration of tongue can be due to due to a coat of bacteria, fungi, dead cells, or inflammation/overgrowth of papillae, or other causes. These other causes include poor oral hygiene, not drinking enough water, smoking, excessive alcohol use and low fiber diet. Change the things you can and if still persistent see a doctor.
