A member asked:

High keytone levels in the urine what could it be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Urinary ketones: If you have ketones in your urine with no glucose, you are ingesting no carbohydrates. This is called "starvation ketosis". If you have ketones and glucose in your urine, you are in diabetic ketoacidosis. Starvation ketosis can be resolved by eating some carbohydrates while keotacidosis is an emergency situation that requires hospitalization to resolve.
