Muscle activity inte: Cold temp can make you shiver leading to muscles working and taking up pet material. This can confuse or mislead in the reading/ interpretation of the pet scan/uptake.

Don't worry: Tell the pet scan attendants how cold you are and they will provide you with blankets. Most radiology centers try to make the exam experience as pleasant as possible.
