Possibly....: Influenza can take up to 7-10 days to completely resolve. However, if the fever is becoming significantly higher, if you start to cough up discolored sputum, if you develop shortness of breath, then you need to be re-evaluated for complications of flu like bacterial pneumonia, bronchitis, etc. Bacterial superinfection is a complication of flu so see your doc if these symptoms develop.
