Hibit issue: This is probably more acceptable to most than sucking his thumb, eating his hair, or other self soothing behaviors. I would ignore it as the more you fuss at him about it the more he needs self soothing.

No worries: It is ok. You do not need to control it or stop it. We all find self soothing techniques and this may be hers. Unless she is biting it til it bleeds and creating other problems it is not an issue.
