A member asked:

Bad vaginal burning 6 weeks. dr puzzled.none of usual diagnoses. 53 long endometriosis history, very dark urine/bladder pain.hot flashes/hysterectomy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See answer: Most common causes of vaginal burning are infectious vaginitis (bv, yeast, std) which likely have already been ruled out. Irritant-related and atrophic vaginitis and lichen sclerosis usually evident on basis of hx and exam. Dark urine usually a reflection of concentrated urine if urinalysis otherwise normal. To me, your description is suggestive of "vulvodynia" and possible "interstitial cystitis".
