Not necessariy: An ekg tells you mainly the electrical activity of the heart. You may need to have an echocardiogram to check for mitral valve prolapse and perhaps some blood tests to check for overactive thyroid as would be anxiety. A cardiology consult may be worthwhile if your family doctor cannot find the cause.
