Stress test for CAD: There are 3 categories we think of with the heart: pumping strength, electrical system, and plumbing (blood flow to heart via the coronary arteries). Each has different tests. Echo looks at pumping strength and valves, ekg looks at the electrical system, and stress tests look at plumbing (screening for cad). Yes, someone can have CAD with a normal echo and ekg. A 36yo woman is typically low risk.
