Seek help.: He should get mental health treatment as soon as possible. If he is still on active duty, then he should see a mental health specialist soon. If he is a veteran, then your local va or other agencies can help. Stigma about mental illness in the military is decreasing as more people become educated and aware about these disorders. There are beneficial treatments for ptsd. I hope he finds relief.

PTSD: Ptsd can be treated, in most cases, effectively if the individual is open to the therapeutic process. Ask your doctor for a referral to a mental health professional who is experienced in treating ptsd. Best.

PTSD can really: Damage the family. I very much hope your husband is getting help for his ptsd. The longer complex ptsd goes without getting treated, the more hard wired in it can become. Ptsd is treatable. If he is on active duty - he should go to his military treatment facility for care. If he has separated or demobilized - both "vet centers" and the vamc offer treatment. He needs to work w a mental health >.
