Panic: Simple performance anxiety responds well to low dose propranolol, which can be given by a primary care doc. To learn about how to handle other anxiety, i suggest a workbook on self administered cognitive behavioral therapy (by bourne, barlow or others). If self help is insufficient, time limited psychotherapy with a psychologist or social worker often works and should be covered by insurance.
