If they said carcinoma in situ, that means that the cancer was there but all removed, but if they said the cancer was more extensive, then more treatment is needed. It could be at an earlier stage called dysplasia and also all removed. If it's all gone, keep coming back for paps so it doesn't happen again. See your dr. For what the results said.

Depends: Need complete biopsy report and analysis of it . Superficial in situ , where cells on surface did not invade adjacent membrane is not invaded also called cancer which has excellent prognosis , or when there is invasion has to make sure has good margins , may still need additional treatment, speak to your doctor who will explain to you , more you know less worried , you will be.
