A member asked:

Dealing with a uti for the past 7 months. leukocytes, protein, blood and sometimes bilirubin. what could this mean? cystoscopy, ultrasound was normal.

See answer: Very important to know that you have had at least several positive urine cultures (not just urinalyses) that have documented recurrent utis as there are other bladder conditions that can mimic utis (e.g. Interstitial cystitis). If you truly having recurrent utis and cysto/renal us normal, then treatment of choice would be to place you on a daily antibiotic for 3-6 months for prophylaxis.
