A member asked:

I have traces of leukocytes in urinalysis, otherwise all lupus test is normal. my doctor is in process of diagnosing me with lupus? is it concerning?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See answer: Lupus, an autoimmune and chronic inflammatory disease that can affect the joints, skin, kidneys, lungs, nervous system and other organs. About 1.5 million americans have lupus, and 1/3 will develop kidney involvement characterized by protein in the urine and elevated blood creatinine levels. Trace leukocytes in the urine by itself and unassociated with urinary symptoms is most often normal finding.
