A female asked:

what could these mean in a urinalysis (doc says it's not a uti despite symptoms) leukocyte: pos, bacteria: +1, squamous epithelial: +1 lpk, mucus: +1?

Contamination: The squamous epithelial cells indicate that some of your vaginal secretions got into the urine. These contain leukocytes so all bets are off. Very abundant leukocytes with symptoms might still support a urinary tract infection.

One day or one week: Since today is thursday i assume you have only been on medication for one day and it takes more time than that for symptoms to resolve. If you have been on medication for a week then you need to see the dr. Because you may have resistant organism to cipro (ciprofloxacin). That is not uncommon.
