Similar to tibia: Sorry just answered a very similar question regarding the weight of a titanium tibial rod(~12 ounces). So a stainless steel rod which is likely 2-6cm.Longer( depending on how tall u are)w/3 interlocking screws may weigh 16 ounces( give or take 2-3 ounces).Special ordered?( for your length or width of femur-- unusual in compound=open fxs.)possibly u meant comminuted( 'shattered')? Hope that helps!
