Possible ovulation: With polycystic ovarian syndrome you may actually ovulate on your own by taking metformin alone. If there is concern see your physician. Though, what you're describing may actually be ovulation. If you menstruate spontaneously approximately two weeks after feeling these pains then this may indicate ovulation.
