Globus basically is the symptom without reference to the cause. It is often identified with laryngopharyngeal reflux.

Lump in throat: Globus is the sensation of a lump in the back of the throat. We dont really know what causes it. Globus does not usually interfere with swallowing and isnt usually associated with pain.
