A member asked:

Can a tonsil stone cause slight sore throat or that side, painful ear, slight loss of taste and globus hysteria?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not all of them: A tonsil stone is not a stone but a collection of food particles in the crypts of the tonsillar surface. It usually does not cause pain. A slight sore throat with referred pain to the ear is possible, also. But loss of taste and globus would not be associated with the collection of debris in the tonsil.
