Probably : Nothing will happen. It is not a dangerous condition that would become an emergency. Unknown if gallstones could form over time. If causing abdominal symptoms then surgery may resolve abdominal discomfort.

See your doctor. : Your condition will likely deteriorate, requiring urgent surgery. Elective surgery can be done as an out-patient, through a scope, and is much safer than an urgent procedure at a time when you're acutely ill.
