Gallbladder symptoms: Nerves to the gallbladder can give pain in upper abdomen, lower chest, or sometimes in the right shoulder. If you have had ultrasound or other gallbladder test (often hida scan is done) and have continuing symptoms, it is reasonable to ask your doctor to refer you to a surgeon. Gall bladder removal is commonly done, and most people do well with it.
