Is it common after super restrictive dieting to go on an eating binge?

Yo-Yo weight loss: Highly-restrictive diets are short-term fads that both calorie restrict & promote ketosis with loss of water weight. Having not learned to limit portion size, & having felt deprived while dieting, once off the "diet" you then binge & regain lost weight. Yo-yo weight loss/regain is unhealthy. There remains no substitute for eating a balanced diet, avoiding snacks, & exercising for long-term loss.

It is the same thing: Dr. Stanley Schacter demonstrated 50 yr ago that fat people didn't notice when they were hungry. Not only did this result in the obesity, binge eating, eating due to triggers, but also resulted in less discomfort when fasting. How to deal with having no controls on eating is in my book. http://www.amazon.com/dp/0692496157/
