Gums: Do you floss? Often times when we don't floss regularly or brush thoroughly some tissues don't get in contact with either floss or toothbrush. Make sure remove as much plaque that frequently builds up behind and in between teeth. Consider that you may have developed gingivitis, and may need anti-microbial rx. Another possibility is vit c deficiency or vit e def, although these are rare.

Gum should not bleed: Healthy gum should be flat, firm, and not bleed. Swollen gum (gingivitis) is bulbous with roll round margin, flabby, and bleed upon touching or in severe case, bleed spontaneously. Bleeding gum is easily treat with a good thorough cleaning.
