10 to 14 days: After Initial Periodontal Therapy or IPT, you must brush rinse and floss as instructed. Your gums may bleed for a few days as they heal, but excellent oral hygiene is the key to success! You should have a follow up scheduled with the treating dentist in 3 to 4 weeks. Good for you for investing in yourself!
