Possibly: The other possible issue is infection. If there is any drainage, redness or significant tenderness, have the finger evaluated. Are your tetanus immunizations up to date?

MAY BE.... BUT...: Check with your doctor. Dog bite still can give rise to any infection including tetanus if there is an open wound. Make sure you are up to date with your tetanus vaccine. Wound care in needed if open wound.
