See below: Depends on what the zoloft (sertraline) is treating - a stimulant like Ritalin can increase anxiety and this could interfere with the anxiety-reducing role of zoloft (sertraline).

Meds for life: It depends if depression is recurring and affecting the life you may have to stay on meds longer with combination of therapy and meds it can be reduced and less doses needed.Goal is you build up skills to deal with the stress your response is not affecting your life too much and can handle it a healthy positive way.
