Bruising: And distribution up the fascial planes in hand arm. If pain is lessening, and no distortion of knuckle, probably not a fracture. If pain increasing, x-rays and evaluation are relevant. Local heat at this time may speed up resolution.

See a Hand Surgeon: With the degree of bruising and pain you have mentioned in your two queries, it would be prudent to see your hand surgeon and get wrist/hand x-rays.
