A member asked:

Relapses are confusing to understand! for vertigo and eye dizziness to be an ms relapse would it need to be constant? mine is coming and going.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

MS and relapses: A relapse is a distinct change in neurological symptoms lasting longer than 24 hrs, and separated from a prior event more than 30 days ago. The symptoms are usually progressive, and not fluctuating. The inconstancy you describe would be categorized as a pseudo-relapse, associated with infection or temperature elevation. Do you carry a diagnosis of ms? If so, you might need therapy.
