A member asked:

I eat extremely healthy (and low cal) i am a college athlete (very active), but i cannot seem to lose weight, why?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Calorie in= Cals.out: Simple equation, if you take in less calories than you use, you will "burn" calories and lose weight. But it is best to eat small meals every 2-4 hours to keep blood sugar level. If you eat low cal one mel or day, your "system" goes into starvation mode and you could actually gain weight. Talk to a knowledgeable physician, nutritionist or dietitian for help. Be careful to not lose muscle mass.
