Mycoplasma?: You may have a viral illness or have been infected with an atypical pathogen like mycoplasma, chlamydia, and so on. You don't say whether or not you have had fever or other symptoms. In any event it is too late to bother with if you had strep throat, and if you do not improve steadily over next several days would recommend seeing your doctor. Good luck and get better.
