Anybody recoverd from autophobia?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Byron Law-Yone
54 years experience in Psychiatry
Yes: I'm assuming you are referring to a fear of being alone and not the anxiety when faced with heavy traffic. "autophobia" is often accompanied by feeling unloved and unlovable. Depression and/or anxiety may be the cause. Individual psychotherapy can help. A psychiatrist can help determine if you need mediction.
