A member asked:

I recently had a breast mastectomy and my drainage had clotted up, what can i do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Strip the drain: When a string of clotted blood or clotted proteins (looks like a clear yellow worm in the drain or bulb) blocks a drain, you can help restore flow by stripping it. Here is a great instructional video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UNFtsGa_f6w Best of luck with your cancer care and treatment!
