Breast Ca Rx: The decision of how to treat breast cancer is highly personal and individual. The choice of double mastectomy will allow for a more symmetric outcome should you choose to remain without reconstruction or choose to reconstruct. Also, mastectomy obviates the need for radiation, another plus. 5 years of an estrogen-blocker such as Tamoxifen or Arimidex (anastrozole) is standard depending on tumor receptor status.
