Surgeon should tellU: Surgeon ; anesthesiologist should explain it all to you beforehand. Varicocele surgery can be performed by laparoscope (my preference) or by open surgery either on the scrotum or by abdominal surgery similar to an appendix operation, but., on the left. Good luck.
