Absolutely: Therapeutic radiation famously causes certain sarcomas. After chernobyl, the worst was thyroid cancers that were thankfully mostly manageable. After hiroshima / nagasaki, there was a lot of leukemia, some increase in breast and other cancers. Home radon ; lung cancer is complicated and politicized. I believe the risk from worthwhile diagnostic x-rays is far lower than some scare-stories.
