These are 2 very di-: Fferent conditions; 1: in trigger thumb, the tunnel of tissue in which the tendon passes, narrows enough to cause the triggering (catching) sensation when its moved; 2: in ct syndrome, the main nerve (median) is trapped in a tunnel and pressed against the thick ligament, which forms the roof of the tunnel, resulting in pain, discomfort and numbness/tingling in fingers.
