Depends: Good vision after cataract surgery is depends, in part, on a good quality tear film. If a patient has chronic tearing or infections of the nasolacrimal duct requiring a DCR, then often it is best to do the DCR first to give the patient the best chance of good quality vision after cataract surgery.
