Long : IC is a painful disease. Bladder instillation of a medicine called DMSO(dimethyl-sulfoxide).This is the only FDA approved instillation but needs to be dilute(25%)to lessen risk of permanent bl.contraction. Oral medication Elmiron(pentosan sulfate) is also somewhat effective.Dietary modification mostly trial & error,oxybutinin & botulinum ....Surgery is a last resort. I wish you well.
