I went to get my eye exam and i was told there was swelling behind my eyes. what might it be?

Swelling: Behind your eyes could mean inflammation of the retina, optic nerves or other structures in the back of your eyes. If you have questions as to the cause of this, you should notify your eye doctor. If he doesn't have the answers, then you should get second opinion from another eye doctor.
